About the course

PRINCE2 Foundation introduces you to the PRINCE2 method while the Practitioner teaches you to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project.

Duration

This is an intensive five-day course that helps prepare you for the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner examinations. Exams are taken online via remote proctor.

Pre-requisites

There are no formal pre-requisites for the Foundation exam, but you must have passed the Foundation before taking the Practitioner exam.

• Practices – The seven project management practices must be applied consistently throughout the project, forming the core of PRINCE2. The course covers why each exercise is necessary and how it should be used.

• Processes – The PRINCE2 lifecycle consists of seven processes detailing the responsibilities and activities that should be undertaken from a project’s conception to its final closure.

Exam information

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation approximately two working days before course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered, you can book your online exam at a date and time. You are responsible for booking your exam.

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

• Multiple choice
• 60 minutes (Extra time for non-English mother tongue)
• Closed book
• 60% pass mark (36/60)

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

• 150 minutes (Extra time for non-English mother tongue)
• 70 questions, each worth 1 mark
• 42 questions correct to pass the exam
• Open book (The PRINCE2 7 official book should be used, but no other material is allowed.)
