About the Course

PRINCE2 Agile combines the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly- defined framework of PRINCE2®. Created for those organizations and individuals who use PRINCE2 but recognize the benefits of applying agile methods, it guides how to apply both PRINCE2 and agile practically, thus, reducing conflict so that you can benefit from the best of both worlds.

Duration: This classroom course is 5 days, whereof 3 days consist of the Foundation Course and 2 days for the Practitioner Course

Learning Objectives

By the end of the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner course, you should:

• Understand the basic concepts of common agile ways of working
• Understand the purpose and context for combining PRINCE2 and the agile way of working
• Be able to apply and evaluate the focus areas of a project in an agile context
• Be able to fix and flex the six aspects of a project in an agile context
• Be able to tailor the PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes, and management products to a project in an agile context

The Practitioner qualification aims to demonstrate that you can apply and tailor PRINCE2 Agile in a scenario. A successful Practitioner candidate should be able to start applying the method to an actual project but may need to be sufficiently skilled to do this appropriately for all situations. Your project management expertise, the project's complexity, and the support provided for using PRINCE2 Agile in your work environment will all impact what you can achieve.

PRINCE2 Agile's primary purpose

• To support organizations and individuals who are using PRINCE2 and wish to extend their knowledge and understanding of Agile
• To apply Agile concepts within their existing project management environment
• PRINCE2 Agile will give agile users an understanding of PRINCE2 governance and how agile concepts fit into the well-established best practice framework of the world’s most widely recognized project management framework.

Who is it aimed at

This qualification is aimed at Project Managers with a current PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification. It is also relevant to other key staff integrating project management with product delivery. An understanding of the agile concepts within PRINCE2 Agile will also apply to those with governance responsibilities for projects using agile delivery approaches and those involved with the program and project support functions. It will also be of interest to program managers with MSP® who will need to understand not only how the program relates to projects and how projects relate to the delivery mechanism.

Exam format

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

• 60 minutes
• Multiple-choice
• 50 questions, each worth one mark
• 28 marks or more out of 50 questions required to pass – 55% pass mark
• Closed book

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

• Objective testing
• 50 questions, each worth one mark
• 30 marks or more out of 50 questions required to pass – 60% pass mark
• Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
• Open book exam (official PRINCE2 Agile guide only)

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation approximately two weeks before course commencement to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered, you can book your online exam at a date and time. You are responsible for booking your exam.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation exam. To take the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner examination, a candidate must hold any of the following certifications:
