Course description
Teams of people in organizations are the very definition of complexity and getting what you most deeply want and need can often feel elusive. When you need an environment where people openly and courageously contribute, take the right risks, and leverage multiple facets of diversity, while supporting one another wholeheartedly but can’t quite get there… what do you do?
Our Powering Possibilities program is designed to guide a team through the process of deeply understanding the dynamics and patterns that shape who they are and how they work. Using a combination of assessment tools, group learning experiences, discussion guides and reflection tools, our year-long process puts the power of creating the psychologically safe environment that everyone needs into the hands of the people who have the power to create it: the team itself.

Course delivery details
The building blocks of our approach include:
- Awareness. You can’t change what you don’t see. Creating awareness and understanding of what’s truly needed and what patterns of thinking and behaving currently exist is the first step.
- Design. No two cultures are alike. Nor should they be. The unique demands of the work create unique needs for culture. Getting clear about what is required and creating a design for the ideal conditions in which everyone thrives gets change started.
- Skill building. People won’t do what they don’t know how to do. It takes skill to do all of the hard things it takes to build a psychological safety culture.
- Experimenting. Transforming mindsets and patterns of behavior is a complex undertaking. Creating small, safe-to-fail experiments that move the team in the desired direction is the most effective way to navigate into your desired future.
- Assessing. This is not a linear process. It would be easy if you could check the tasks off the list, but it doesn’t quite work that way in this type of work. We measure frequently, taking stock of change and realigning intentions along the way.

Thought Design
Unstick your team. You’ve tried all the things, but your team still isn’t where you want them to be. You’ve listened to podcasts, led a book study, even invested in some trainings before. Nothing seems to create the long-lasting changes...
