Mindfulness Training
Mindfulness is gaining traction in the research community and corporate world. Modern science has shown what we think, do and pay attention to changes the structure and function of our brains. Mindfulness is a tool to change the wiring of our brain to perform better; improve focus and productivity, improve decision making, manage stress and difficult experiences more effectively, and improve communication with others.
This course is composed of a number of sessions over a length of time. Each session is designed to share a few key mindfulness concepts that are backed by neuroscience, experience an exercise, discuss the experience, and close with homework to practice in between sessions. While the sessions are very educational, most of the learning happens in the “real world” in between the sessions as participants try out the homework, interact with clients, deal with stress at work, and generally experience life.
The goal of this training is to develop skills and change behavior, not deliver content. Therefore, training is best done live, in groups, and over a length of time. It is light on content and heavy on practical exercises and support to help participants create new habits.
