Course description
The Essentials of Being a Leader
In today’s business environment, every manager and executive needs solid leadership skills. Develop effective leadership at every level of your organization with The Essentials of Being a Leader. This proven and intensive training program from Strategic Leadership Development International (SLDI) provides robust leadership training in a highly flexible format.
Overview
Participants explore the lines of distinction between leadership and management, while also learning how to integrate the two so that their personal leadership and management styles work hand-in-glove. The Essentials of Being a Leader highlights four distinguishing marks of great leaders. And it thoroughly examines basic people-skills which are essential for leadership success.
The content of The Essentials of Being a Leader is adapted from SLDI’s proprietary LeaderTrack Professional Development Series for Managers and Leaders, which has been used by Fortune 100 companies.
One, Two, and Three-Day Formats
The structure of The Essentials of Being a Leader allows the course to be taught in a variety of formats. A condensed, but complete version can be delivered in one day of instruction.
Fuller presentations, covering two or three days, expand the material in each section of the course, take up additional fundamentals of leadership, and add more class exercises.
In North America, multi-day sessions do not need to be on consecutive days. Many companies, indeed, opt for this option, scheduling one day of training every few weeks or once a quarter.
