Course description
Building Resilience to Cope with COVID-19 Anxiety and Change - In House
With the uncertainty and change caused by the current COVID-19 crisis, anxiety and and fear are preventing many people from adapting to the changes needed to regain control over the spread of the disease and the impacts those measures are having on our economy and personal lives. Resilience is the ability to remain productive during turbulence. This interactive, online course explains why some struggle with the changes caused by the crisis and introduces a set of seven “resilience muscles” that help individuals use their energy more effectively as they move through the adaptation process. Participants receive individual feedback on their own resilience, and engage in exercises that provide practice in applying each of the characteristics. They leave with an action plan for strengthening their resilience and a renewed sense of empowerment during these challenging times.
This instructor-led online course is delivered in a live half-day session delivered in three one-hour pieces, each separated by 15-minute breaks to avoid eye strain. During this highly-interactive session, the instructor presents key concepts, then helps the participants build personal connections through discussions and interactive exercises. Participants receive confidential individual feedback based on a questionnaire that is completed in advance of the course and complete an action plan for developing own their personal resilience.
