Before the program start, participants will take the DiSC®behavioral assessment.
Session 1: Intentional Communications
Communication is the foundation skillset from which all other interpersonal skills build. In this session, we will use the DiSC®framework to explore how your personality impacts your communication preferences. We’ll investigate the priorities, stressors, and motivators that map to various DiSC styles, giving you insight into how to better communicate and connect with others.

Session 2: Your Leadership Footprint
What is your unique footprint as a leader? In this interactive session we begin with the character strengths and qualities that differentiate you from others, and we use these as a springboard for discovering ways to bring your singular skills to life. After translating your strengths into concrete behaviors, we connect and align these behaviors with your governing values. The session culminates in an activity that integrates what you have learned from others with what sets you apart from everyone else. In creating a personal leadership coat of arms, you’ll gain insight into how to “do who you are” as a leader in a way that inspires and motivates others.

Session 3: Building Trust and Connection
Being a valued team member involves more than just growing your skills and knowledge. Building strong relationships is also a key part of team success. In this session, we’ll explore how to earn — and extend — “smart” trust to contribute to a team culture of psychological safety. You’ll also learn how increasing your emotional intelligence will enhance your credibility as well as your team’s performance.

Session 4: Growing Your Influence
In this highly interactive session, we will use a trusted framework to explore a five-step model for influencing others. We will examine the importance of planning, asking, and listening in the end-to-end process of influencing. Working through real-life scenarios in role-plays, you will practice applying these new skills to positively influence others up, down, and across levels of power and authority.

Session 5: Giving High Impact Feedback
In this session we will explore the connection between effective feedback and employee engagement and performance. We will learn what constitutes a high-impact conversation, delivering feedback in a way that increases someone’s motivation and resources for change. Investigating several models and techniques for giving feedback, the session will culminate in small group role-play scenarios. Each person will have the opportunity to rotate through the roles of feedback giver, receiver, and observer.
