Documentary Producing
In this comprehensive course, students will learn the various aspects of creating a professional documentary film, from concept to finished piece. We will cover creating your story ideas, researching your subject, and creating a budget and shooting schedule. We will also cover the process of crafting an interview, writing a script, assembling your footage and interviews, along with creative style, the goal of the story, copyright usage, promotion, deliverables and distribution.

Training content
The objective of this course is to gain effective knowledge and critical appreciation of what is required to create a professional documentary film. Supporting materials, such as documentary films and television programs, will be utilized to develop a high level of film appreciation. Students should finish the class with a new understanding of filming techniques and professional documentary producing. Participants will also develop an understanding of what it takes to get a documentary released.
