Course description
Remote Presentations: Communication for Video, Phone and Conference Calls
Conference calls, video calls, webinars and other remote presentations enable your company to reach a wider audience than in-person presentations.
But convenience and efficiency also come with unique communication challenges.
Because the audience cannot see the speaker’s body language, hand gestures, or facial expressions, they don’t get as much information as they would from an in-person meeting.
Since audiences are more easily distracted by their devices, the speaker has to rely on vocal tonality, on-screen visuals, presentation content, and timing to hold their audience’s attention and make the full impact.
This training program gives your team the skills and knowledge to make the most of these communication opportunities, while keeping their audience engaged.
Key training lessons include:
-Assertive communication strategies
-Presentation strategies to build anticipation and maintain interest from the audience
-Improving vocal pitch and tonality
-Facial expressions and hand gestures for video
-Managing Q&A and audience interaction
-Dealing with interruptions or talkative participants
-Time management and maintaining a clear agenda
Participants will go through multiple practice exercises and role-plays. Their drills will be recorded on video for reflection and analysis.
Their speeches can be transcribed and analyzed for word choice, persuasiveness, speaking speed, and other metrics.
