As a leader, it's important to maintain healthy relationships with your coworkers. Learning how to manage those relationships is an important part of leadership development, but it's not the starting point.
Why? Because if we cannot manage the relationship with ourselves successfully first, how can we expect to be able to do that with other people? Kind leadership starts with self-awareness.
