Teamwork: Developing Soft-skills and Emotional Intelligence
There's a lot of talk about "soft-skills" -- not a lot of defining them. There's also a prevailing sense that you've either got them by the time you enter the workforce, or you don't.
So called "soft-skills" can be defined, delineated, and specified. They can be systematized, measured, and expected in the workplace. And they can be learned!
Even the with the best intentions and articulate communication, you and your team may find yourselves working at cross purposes, frustrated, and fighting. In this half-day course, you and your team will learn and gain experience with 3 principles that support the fact that, “It’s never about the thing. It’s always about the relationship.”
Perhaps you’ve discovered the truth that when people are pricked, triggered, and emotional – and all people can be – it’s impossible to make progress. The goal is over there. The fruit is ripe for the picking. And you’re stuck where you are because people have taken their eyes off the prize.
And soft-skills are not only for conflict. These skills help bring out and employ the strengths of each person on your team. They help your sales team find and bring on the right clients. They help you discover and solve the problems in and around your business eco-system.
Soft-skills are necessary for the excellent functioning of every single human aspect of your business. And technical aspects as well, because it's humans that create, shape, and advance the technical parts.
Every problem in your business has its solution in communication.
