Course description
Cased Hole and Production Log Evaluation: A 1-week course for reservoir and production engineers
This one-week program is designed to provide delegates with an up-to-date understanding of wireline diagnostic techniques used for cased wells. Course material pays special attention to three main factors.
Participants will cover:
- Evaluation of formation through casing as it focuses on locating oil, gas and water downhole, determining saturations and monitoring movement over time
- Well integrity, applying a variety of cement bond logging and casing inspection techniques to confirm zonal isolation and detect mechanical damage, corrosion, scale, perforations and the like. 3.)
- Water identification and fluid contribution, emphasizing techniques to quantify the sources of water, oil and gas production for control of the production profile or as inputs to reservoir modeling.
In addition to these three main areas of focus, course material also prescribes special consideration to the newest logging techniques for highly deviated and horizontal wells.
