Construction Estimating Using Excel This course is of particular interest anybody involved with construction. Very little knowledge of Excel is needed. This course covers many different spreadsheets needed to do a quantity take-off on many different construction materials:
- Concrete
- Earthwork
- Finishes
- Masonry
- Metals
- Openings
- Paving
- Thermal & Moisture Protection
- Wood
The take-off is performed using many different units:
- Cubic feet, cf, ft3, cu ft
- Cubic yards, cu yd, yd3
- Feet, ft
- Square feet, sf, ft2, sq ft
- Tons
- Pounds, lbs, #
- Linear feet, lf
- Square, sq
- Foot board measure, fbm
- Gallons, gal
We will use only a few commands, like border and fill color. We will use only a few built-in functions like SUM and PRODUCT. I have included an installation program that will install all the files covered in the course plus some additional blank forms.
