Course description
The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) provides three levels of certification and one of them – Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) – is intended for those who do not have any experience in business analysis area but are going to be business analysts. The basis of such a certification is BABOK® (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) Guide v.3.0 – which is a pretty dry and voluminous book. BABOK Guide is a set of scrupulously collected best practices in the area of business analysis, but it is rather a directory than a teaching book.
Thus, for attendees who do not have any experience, it would be difficult to understand the whole content of the BABOK Guide and bind it with their working activities. Honestly, IIBA requires a pretty superficial understanding of business analysis peculiarities for ECBA certification, but how can one understand that one already has enough knowledge?
This course has two main goals. First of all, it covers foundational knowledge of business analysis according to the BABOK® Guide v.3.0, showcasing core knowledge and competencies for the in-demand field of business analysis. It helps participants obtain a comprehensive overview of all BABOG parts and their relationships.
The second goal is to help participants prepare for the ECBA certification exam by looking at preparation strategies, tips & tricks for studying the BABOK Guide, and much more. For example, participants will check their knowledge and understanding via mock exam questions.
A trainer of the course has their own experience in both areas – in business analysis and in getting a certification. The course is approved by IIBA, and Luxoft is an IIBA Endorsed Education Provider.
The ECBA certification does not require any PD hours (professional development hours), but this course provides 21 PD hours required for admission to the higher certification exams (CCBA and CBAP).
Stand out from the crowd – highlight that you have the knowledge by becoming certified by the leading authority on business analysis: the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
