The Linux Foundation
Founded in 2000, The Linux Foundation is a nonprofit consortium offering training to the next generation of Linux developers through a comprehensive range of courses that are vendor-neutral, technically advanced, direct from the source and customizable to suit your requirements.
Their courses are:
- For the community, by the community
- The most up-to-date with advances in the Linux kernel
- Designed by Linux experts to be technically advanced
These programs combine foundational knowledge with practical, real-world experience and networking opportunities in order to give participants a well-rounded and relevant training experience.
Over the years, The Linux Foundation has helped hundreds of companies move to Linux from other platforms or gain advanced knowledge of the technology in order to give them the skills and competitive edge needed to succeed.
As well as training, The Linux Foundation also hosts a range of events, workshops, web properties, job board and membership offerings, all aimed at connecting members and attendees with development and vendor communities.

The overview format was quite useful. Additional material/article references/mailing list summaries, etc were of immense value, and will continue well after the class is over. ...
The instructor was thorough and very knowledgeable. He demonstrated all the lab materials with us and welcomed any questions and provided demonstrations.
The manual covers everything explained so I can go back to it when needed. The instructor many times was providing more interesting information and historical background
