About
I apply learning and related sciences to improve results from instruction and performance interventions.
I started out as a trainer years ago and became a workplace learning leader in a healthcare system. I continue to work on workplace learning projects, so I understand the needs and constraints of improving work performance in workplace learning settings. I have a strong business background, which helps me connect business needs and viable learning and performance solutions.
My PhD trained me to read, do, and apply research. I continue to read and write about research because I’m a long-time workplace learning practitioner who cares deeply about good outcomes.
And using the evidence from various sciences, such as learning, educational psychology, usability, human-computer interaction and others is the most effective and efficient way to get there.
