What is General Awareness Training?
General awareness is a common term used to describe the training that most employees need in order to be able to identify, report, and control workplace safety and health hazards. The goal of general awareness training is to provide employees with a greater understanding of the company’s safety and health program, in order for them to be able to contribute to its implementation and growth. This instruction based training is a dominant factor in preventing workplace accidents and in achieving a successful safety and health program overall. Additional training might be needed depending on the employees’ roles and responsibilities.
