Course description
SSCA® 'Elite' SIP Certification
Critical for today’s telecommunications, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, and terminating communication sessions that include voice, video, and messaging applications over an IP network. SIP is derived from RFC 3261 as well as many other RFCs which were developed under the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the body responsible for administering and developing the mechanisms that comprise the Internet. Now that the Voice over IP (VoIP) community has adopted SIP as its protocol of choice for signaling and media session management and with implementation of SIP into all PBX manufacturers’ systems, as well as VoIP phones, unified collaboration, and mobile communications solutions, it is imperative that those working with these technologies learn about SIP. This SSCA® 'Elite' SIP Certification course will cover everything from the basics of SIP messaging and SIP servers, right through security, firewalls, NAT, troubleshooting, trunking, ENUM, testing and troubleshooting, SIP in Unified Communications, along with all the latest updates and additions to the SSCA® ‘Elite’ Certification Exam administered by The SIP School.
