Course description
Have you ever wondered why we follow industry guidelines? As we have seen in recent years, regulatory and legal exposure may arise when audit functions deviate from established internal audit protocols. This course will help participants gain familiarity with the IIA International Professional Practices Framework, commonly referred to as the Red Book as well as the related Government Auditing Standards, i.e., the yellow book guidance. We will discuss the definition and mission of internal audit, core principles and cover the Code of Ethics. Participants will gain an understanding of the attribute, performance, and implementation standards; discuss the practical application and usefulness of the implementation guidance.
