Facilitation Fundamentals
More and more individuals in an organization are being asked to “facilitate” a workshop, meeting, training or group events. Facilitation is defined as the ability to guide participants in a meeting or members of a team towards the achievement of a common goal or an agreeable action plan to solve a problem. The intended outcomes for this workshop are to increase a facilitator’s competence and confidence in facilitation skills. A variety of activities will be used including large and small groups, as well as practice time.

- Learn the characteristics of both Effective and Ineffective Facilitators
- Identify and explore the Tools and Techniques to Maximize Your Message: setting the tone, types of learners, maximizing participation, cues and signs participants are engaged, dealing with difficult people and how to make it more engaging
- Practice using the steps through role-play using real life scenarios
- Create an action plan for immediate implementation in the workplace
