D17.1 Code Clinic
The AWS D17.1 Code Clinic provides a detailed road map through the D17.1, Specifications for Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications code. This comprehensive, 4-hour course employs easy-to-understand language, audio narration, and guided questions to help participants familiarize themselves with the code. Presented in 17 short modules, participants will learn to quickly locate important clauses, charts, and tables in time sensitive testing or working environments.

Who should attend?
The AWS D17.1 online course is ideal for persons preparing to sit for the CWI exam and have selected D17.1 for the code book portion (Part C of the CWI exam). The course is also ideal for active CWIs interested in familiarizing themselves with the aerospace code as part of their efforts to comply with the requirements for 9-year recertification. Of course, non-CWIs interested in enhancing their educational credentials will also benefit from this self-paced, online program.
Prerequisites
No previous knowledge is required. This course is designed to guide you in navigating and reading the D17.1 code in clear, easy-to-understand language and easily digestible chunks of information. Participants will learn to quickly locate important paragraphs, charts and tables, which is crucial to navigating the code in a timed testing environment and time sensitive working conditions.
