Course description
Unconscious biases are often thought of as prejudices or stereotypes people hold about others based on race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, or other characteristics. People's perceptions and behaviors may be strongly influenced by these biases, even though people's biases might not necessarily be conscious or intentional. It may also lead to adverse effects in the workplace, such as discrimination, decreased job satisfaction, and performance, decreased productivity, disparities in recruiting and promotion prospects, and employee turnover. To combat and lessen the impact of unconscious bias in the workplace, there are a variety of approaches that organizations may take. Among them are training employees on unconscious bias, assessing recruitment and hiring practices, evaluating fair practices, and more. This is an excellent course to attend if you want to learn more about unconscious bias and how it may manifest in the workplace. You will get an understanding of the influence that unconscious bias has in the workplace, as well as ways for addressing and minimizing it, by taking part in this workshop.
