A Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a measure used to quantify the time spent on professional development activities. One CEU is typically equivalent to 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. To calculate CEUs, divide the total contact hours of the training or course by 10.
