Course description
Barnes & Conti Associates Present: A 1-Day Workshop for Internal Consultants
Internal consultants are specialists who use their interpersonal skills, expertise, and influence to make changes requested by their client without having the formal authority to implement these recommendations. They must walk a fine line between being a company insider with the associated knowledge of the culture there and as an outsider who has an objective view of the company and a broad range of knowledge. The key for internal consultants is to be clear about their role. They need to be internally confident about that role and be able to show that confidence to those they are consulting for.
Barnes & Conti Associates have created this workshop based on on the book, Consulting on the Inside: A Practical Guide for Internal Consultants, Second Edition, by Beverly Scott and B. Kim Barnes (ASTD Press, 2011). Internal consultants who take part in this workshop will gain valuable knowledge and insight about their role itself, the consulting process, and communication skills and other tools that will enable them to create a successful practice.
